Neuropsychological Evaluations

A neuropsychological evaluation is a comprehensive assessment designed to examine how the brain is functioning across multiple areas of thinking, behavior, and emotional functioning. Through standardized testing and a detailed clinical interview, neuropsychological evaluations assess skills such as memory, attention, concentration, language, problem-solving, processing speed, visual-spatial abilities, and executive functioning.

These evaluations can help identify the underlying causes of cognitive, emotional, academic, or behavioral difficulties and provide diagnostic clarification when symptoms are complex or overlapping. Neuropsychological testing is often recommended for individuals experiencing memory loss, attention difficulties, learning problems, concussion or traumatic brain injury, stroke, neurological conditions, suspected dementia, ADHD, or changes in cognitive functioning associated with medical or psychiatric conditions.

The results of the evaluation provide a detailed understanding of an individual’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses, assist with diagnosis, guide treatment planning, and offer practical recommendations for improving daily functioning, academic performance, workplace success, and overall quality of life.

Our evaluations are individualized, comprehensive, and designed to provide meaningful answers that help patients, families, and healthcare providers make informed decisions about care and treatment.
